Also known as Exhibition, a cross between Danvers Yellow and Cranston’s Excelsior, introduced by David Murray in 1887. Adapted to 38–60° latitudes.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 3 oregon giant snow pea seedlings. This variety is known for its sweet rich green fat wide 4–5" pods good for stir-fries, steaming and eating out of hand. Retains sweetness so may be picked a little plumper than the thin-podded varieties. We recommend staking the 3–4' vines.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 ubatuba cambuci spice hot pepper seedling. Peppers shaped like bells, each with 2-5 prominent, flattened lobes with a great, fruity flavor. Its very low level of heat is appreciated in Brazil as well as in the US. Easy to dry. Cambuci peppers are named after the Cambuci fruit, which they also resemble, which in turn is named for being shaped like an indigenous style of earthen jar.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 tropical sunset tomato seedling (open-pollinated and indeterminate). Ping-pong ball-sizes. fruits ripen from green, to yellow with pink striping, to pink with golden striping. Bicolor interiors, too! Delicious, fruity flavor with medium acidity.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 white cherry tomato seedling (open-pollinated and indeterminate). Pale yellow fruits that have a good, mild taste. Plants are compact and easy to pick.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 black krim tomato seedling (open-pollinated and indeterminate). Krims are strikingly iridescent purple on the outside, usually with dark green-black shoulders and noticeable catfacing. Interiors are part black, too, with an unusual juicy yet meaty taste and texture, described as having “…a smoky flavor like a good single malt scotch.” Fruits average 12–18 oz. Krim hails from Krymsk on the Black Sea in Russia.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 brandywine tomato seedling (open-pollinated and indeterminate). Big, beautiful fruits that first brought recognition to the term heirloom. Well known and loved for its perfect flavor balance of sugars and acids. Delicious, deep rose-scarlet flesh is smooth and incredibly juicy.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 cherokee purple tomato seedling (open-pollinated and indeterminate). Large beefsteak fruits with mauve-purple skin, green shoulders and red flesh. The most popular of the "black" tomatoes for its outstanding flavor and texture.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 hog heart tomato seedling (open-pollinated and indeterminate). Brought from Italy to Massachusetts, probably between 1910 and 1920, and then by Susan Eastman and Ed Lacy of Gray, Maine, to the Exhibition Hall at the 1988 Common Ground Fair, Hog Heart has won many admirers. So-named because it sometimes produces large red heart-shaped double fruits. More often, though, its 6–8 oz tomatoes are shaped like banana peppers. A meaty paste tomato noted for its sparse seed cavity, good solids and excellent flavor fresh, canned or frozen.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 orange banana tomato seedling (open-pollinated and indeterminate). Its sprightly sweet flavor, reminiscent of Sungold but with more depth and diverse tones, makes an ambrosial sauce by itself and adds a vivid fruity complexity to any sauce with other tomato varieties. Attractive cylindrical orange fruits 3–4" long average 4–5 oz. Susceptible to blossom-end rot. Originally offered by Moscow seedswoman Marina Danilenko in the 1996 Seed Savers Yearbook.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 Paul Robeson tomato seedling (open-pollinated and indeterminate). Like other so-called black tomatoes the fruit is more of a dusky dark red with dusky dark green shoulders. 6-oz. fruits, 2 x 4-5 in., borne two to a cluster. Excellent flavor. Russian heirloom. Named after Paul Robeson, performer of “Old Man River” and operatic vocal artist who was an advocate of equal rights for Blacks. His artistry was appreciated world-wide, especially in the Soviet Union, and hence this tomato bearing his name.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 roma vf paste tomato seedling (determinate). Productive plum tomato with great disease resistance. Vigorous and strong, producing heavy yields of picture-perfect, thick-walled fruits with deep red color and mild flavor.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 rose de berne tomato seedling (open-pollinated and indeterminate). Medium-sized yet delivers the robust flavor of the bigger types. No slouch in the appearance department either, the unblemished pink globes are perfectly round, the soft skins not excessively fragile and the color and size very attractive.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 fife creek cowhorn okra seedling. 8 inch light green pods stays tender longer than most open-pollinated varieties. High yielding, 5-6 ft. plants.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 jing orange okra seedling. Strikingly ornamental, bright red stems. Thinly lobed leaves have red veins as well. 6-7 in. smooth, slim, dark red pods have great flavor. 5-6 ft. tall plants.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 toma verde tomatillo seedling. Early variety with tart flavor when young, becoming sweeter as it ripens. Medium to large size fruits are ready to harvest when husks split and fruit color changes from a yellow green to medium green.

These luffa sponges are grown on our farm from luffa gourds. Luffa sponges can be used in the bath or at the kitchen sink. They are durable, while being 100% biodegradable. Our luffas range in size from 5" to 10" long. Due to its natural nature, luffas may have dark spots or discoloration; they might also contain a few leftover seeds. Tax Included

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 y-star patty pan summer squash seedling. Bright yellow uniform scallops with pale green stars on the blossom end. Harvested small, they are quite sweet and tender, their open plant habit with minimal spines making them extremely easy to gather.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 cocozelle zucchini seedling. Rich-flavored straight fruit zucchini ribbed with light green stripes. This Italian heirloom was called Cocozella di Napoli in the 1800s.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 tromboncino zucchini seedling. Light green fruits grow long, curving to a bell at one end. Vining plants can be grown on a trellis. Harvest at 8-10 in. long when the flavor is fine and sweet. Vigorous moschata plants can bear all season in areas where insects are a problem for other zucchini or summer squash. If left to mature, skin will ripen to tan like a butternut squash.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 harrowsmith gourd seedling. A random small gourd mix of either warted pears, dumplings, patty pans, cheeses, or other shapes in a range of fall colors.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 luffa gourd seedling. May be more closely related to the cucumber than to the hardshell Lagenaria. Also known as Dishrag Gourd, dried and used for making bath sponges. Mature, dark green 14-24 in. fruits may be retted (soaked in water to soften while the soft tissue breaks down). Once retting is complete, they are cleaned and ready to use as sponges or filters. Vines have pretty, bright yellow flowers.

Saturday, May 17th our take home meal will be Beer-brined Pork Ribs with Roasted Sweet Potatoes. We take pork ribs and place them into a brine of water, beer, lime juice, salt and black pepper. The ribs are then cooked on the grill and served with a side of roasted sweet potatoes and garnished with pico de gallo. Just heat it up and dinner is done! 🤗 Our ready-to-heat meals are made to serve one person but if prepared with a starch or an additional side they could feed two people. These ready-to-heat meals are cooked fresh the day before the market, packed, and frozen. We have designed them for you to have simple but marvelous meals at home. Just pick them up at the market, pop them in your freezer or refrigerator when you get home, then simply heat them up in the microwave or oven when you want. Right now we'll just have one offering each week.

Freshly made fish ceviche you can serve with tortilla chips, crackers or alone as a refreshing salad. Our fish ceviche is made of local white fish marinated in lime juice with ripe tomatoes, chopped onions, fresh cilantro, kosher salt, and black pepper; thats it! No preservatives are used, so it must be kept refrigerated.

Our fresh guacamole is made from ripe avocados, fresh cilantro, hand squeezed lime juice, kosher salt and black pepper; thats it no fillers.
