One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 certified organic umpqua broccoli seedling. Handsome uniform dark-green 5–6" heads. A great producer of abundant side shoots over a long harvest window. It gets its name from the Umpqua River in Oregon.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 certified organic waltham broccoli seedling. Dark blue green 5-6" heads with long stalks. Developed to withstand increasing cold for fall maturity. Best variety for bunched side shoots.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 certified organic de cicco broccolini seedling. Italian variety known for tender stalks and mild flavor. Reliable multi-cut variety that produces a compact, 3-4" bluish-green central head followed by a prolific set of side shoots.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 certified organic piracicaba broccolini seedling. About halfway between a heading broccoli and a broccoli raab, these succulent tender small green heads with very large beads make delightful eating, raw or lightly cooked. Very loose heads, lots of side shoots, sweet stalks. Even the fairly large leaves make excellent greens.

A favorite introduced by the Japanese agriculture students at Rudolf Steiner College. Try houshu finely sliced as a salad with grapefruit, toasted nuts or seeds and a rice-vinaigrette, also delicious in stir-fries, soups, etc.

One 3 inch fiber pot containing 1 tokyo bekana cabbage seedling. Bekana will regrow for multiple cuttings and branch out, giving lots of edible leaves with very little coarse stalk. Lacy, mild, sweet, a bit like lettuce but never bitter and makes a good slaw.

Our tomatillo salsa aka salsa verde (also know as a mild hot sauce) is made with tomatillos, hot peppers, onions, garlic, cilantro, kosher salt, and black pepper; thats it no fillers. Use it on just about anything we especially like it on tacos, eggs, or just dipping tortilla chips in it. The taste of fresh salsa puts the bottled salsas to shame. No preservatives are used, so it must be kept refrigerated.

A pint of certified organic mixed cherry tomatoes. Delicious yellow, red, purple, and striped cherries perfect for snacking, cooking or using in a salad.

Heads of cured basque garlic. This hardneck variety has bulbs that are uniform in shape with easy to peel 6-8 cloves per bulb. Basque garlic is small but mighty in flavor and is one of the best roasting varieties - it is like candy when roasted! This hardneck Turban type with flattened bulbs occasional purple striping from Basque Country in the in the autonomous province of Navarre (Nafarroa), Northern Spain. It has a quick heat when eaten raw, fading into an earthy finish. In the Basque language garlic is “baratxuri”. (The photo shows a container with 1/4 pound worth of garlic.)

Heads of cured certified organic elephant garlic. This variety has a very mild flavor even though it is large. If you don’t like the full flavor of garlic, elephant garlic is a good alternative because is actually in the leek family and shares its mild flavor. Heads of cured certified organic pyong yang garlic. This hardneck variety has contain 6-8 cloves. Named after the capital of North Korea and said to originate from a village just to the North. The raw flavor is spicy and builds to a fiery intensity. Baking and cooking mellows flavor to a nutty smoothness. The ease of peeling and robust flavor have endeared this variety to many who now treasure it as a favorite.

Heads of cured red janice garlic. This hardneck variety has contain 5-9 cloves. Red Janice is a Turban hardneck that originated in the Republic of Georgia. It has deep red cloves under purple skins. Flavor is sweet and spicy when roasted, and has quite the sharp kick when eaten raw.

Mixed heirloom tomatoes by the pound. Tasty red, pink, yellow, brown, or multicolored tomatoes perfect for sandwiches, salad, or making sauce.

A bunch of fresh certified organic sweet potato greens. Sweet potato greens are the delicous leaves of the sweet potato plant. We sell them by the bunch and you can just pluck the leaves off the stems and use them like you would any other green. The greens have a softer texture and are less bitter taste than kale or chard. Try sautéing the sweet potato greens in the place of spinach, adding them to stir-fries, or chopping them finely and adding them to salads.

Green tomatillos by the pound. A staple of Mexican cuisine, they are eaten raw and cooked in a variety of dishes. Tomatillos are usually cooked to bring out full flavor: Roast in the oven or simmer for 5-10 minutes in a pot of water, then use in chili rellenos, salsa verde, and other sauces or dips.
